The Centre of Languages and Communication presents the post–conference publication in the form of the collection of contributions from the recent conference, LOOKING AHEAD: DEVELOPING ACADEMICS’ AND STUDENTS’ LINGUISTIC AND INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE FOR A GLOBALISED WORLD. The volume contains articles and an activity report prepared based on presentations made at the conference.
The conference brought together language and communication experts, teachers, and researchers with a shared goal: to strengthen the communication skills and language competences needed for meaningful engagement in today’s interconnected world. With a core focus on teaching languages, fostering communication, and cultivating soft skills and leadership, the conference was concerned with a question of how to equip both students and academic teachers with the tools necessary to thrive in an academic setting.
